I forgot to post here but I’ve expanded the Burbank Maps site to include Realestate (powered by Realtor.com). You can keep adding more houses to the map by clicking on “Next Set” and more will be added, automatically centered, as you pan.
You may also remember my post about Burbank news stories on a map.
Have fun Burbankians!
As a side note, the last time only time I have ever seen a realestate site allowing you to search geospatially (distance from a point), it was when we (when I was at citysearch.com) built a realestate site at realestate.citysearch.com in partnership with Livingchoices.com (which has since expired and they are running their own site now). Hey, Jen-Ban (do you read this blog???), remember when we built the entire site in a week?

So I created another Google Maps hack for those of you located in burbank, somewhere near me.
Basically, I crawl stories from the Burbank Leader’s news and put them on a google map.
check it out and feel free to give feedback. I have a bunch of ideas on additions/modifications I’ll make and I welcome yours. For example, I’ll be adding Topix results as well…and maybe even put burbank events on its own map for those wanting to plan things out.
…and, by the way, it looks like Burbank is providing a free hotspot in downtown Burbank!

It was like this for a few days (when we were having record rainfall in the Southern California Area). I used my Sony Ericsson t637 picture phone to take a picture from inside my car on my way to work.
