Billing via Cell Phone May Mean More Local Online Transactions
Plans are in the works for having cellphones used as credit cards and the fact that we’ll start seeing geo-location phones and services more and more may mean we’ll see more wireless online services catering to local.
Think of the possibilities, if dodgeball knew where you were without you letting them know…or if you wanted to buy local goods or services online but didn’t have to worry about all the time spent typing in your location and/or credit card information into a clunky interface…the possibilities could be endless. We could also see all sorts of “push” technologies that could SMS/MMS you with various information triggered by where you are, etc.
